I only wanna be

...your one-life stand.

February. The shortest of months. Isn't it?
The snow has melted a little more. Slowly, slowly. Still treacherous underfoot. I started the day yesterday by falling arse-over-tit against the side of my car. Dirty snow-melt and muck from the side of the car all over me before the working day had even begun.
Excellent.
Spurs failed magnificently with a (reported) number of earth-shattering bids for top-drawer strikers, while everyone else around us in the League raided their piggy-banks royally. Bah, let's hope JeFoe rediscovers his scoring touch. Nice at least to see the loaned-out Mr Keane score in his first match for the Hammers. He's been a good servant to the club.
Spring can come whenever it likes for my sake - at least the days are getting longer/brighter, eh?

Now I'm ready

...to start!

A little over half way through January. The unbelievable amount of snow that's been here has dissipated somewhat with a few days of (barely) plus degrees. Now what's left is huge, shrunken snow drifts everywhere with intermittent, completely friction-free, glassy areas which conspire to make old women of us all as we hobble fearfully along lest we end up on our arses. Come on Spring, I'm ready.
Spurs nearly pulled off an audacious loan move for Becks (so-called "King of the Cockneys" as one memorable banner read a few years back, haha) but it has ended up as merely a few weeks of training with the club. Still, on the plus side we beat Chelsea (!) to the signing of Pienaar from the Toffeemen. Hopefully, he'll bring a little versatility and verve to the midfield in the coming months. Very much everything still to play for on all fronts at the moment.
Also...last week my dentist cleverly tore my gums by one of my wisdom teeth, which has left me in pain and on antibiotics. Bah.
