The glove compartment isn't accurately named...

..and everybody knows it...

Behold...scary Santa!
I mean, seriously, this thing would scare the life out of any kids that look too closely wouldn't it?
It scared me a little, I don't mind telling you.
Ew.

Today I have mostly had Danko Jones songs running through my head.
RAWK!

There's a storm outside...

...and the gap between the clap and thunder, the clap and thunder, is closing in...

Between Christmas and New Year's Eve.
Still wet and rainy. And unseasonably mild. Time for a cup of tea.
A full Premier League program today and a win against Reading would put my boys mid-table or thereabouts. Heady stuff.

Back to work in just under a week.
Wonder what the new year will bring...

Goalscoring superstar hero...

...you let your hair down and play with the fans...

Merry Christmas!

Today has dawned - astonishingly - a few degrees above zero and rainy. My first couple of years in Sweden it was beautiful and snowy this time of year. Bah. I want some snow...

Sensible World of Soccer appeared out of the blue (finally) on XBox Live yesterday. Woohoo! Now, if I can just work out how to play it with the XBox controllers instead of my trusty old table-top joystick from the Amiga days I might be omething other than completely useless on it. I've yet to actually win a match on the thing. And I used to be so good, *sob*. Still, time is on my side and I'm prepared to put the hours in, heh heh.
Yesterday was a swedish Xmas feast, today it will be turkey and the trimmings (including yorkshire puddings, nam nam)-
And crackers.
;O)

That's right - you knows what I'm saying...

...your mother's offered me the goods - I'm not paying...

The day before Christmas Eve.
After a cold start the weather settled into a routine of zero degrees and...incessant rain.
How can it rain when it's zero degrees celsius? Without a hint of sleet even. Bah.
Spurs battled manfully against the Arse but, after hitting the crossbar and missing a penalty it was only ever going to end in defeat. Som vanligt.
Now then - if I can just find my Snowman dvd. He loves that little lad, you know...
*sob*

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to us all!

It took a tattooed boy from Birkenhead...

...to really really open her eyes...

The last day on the job (so to speak) before the christmas break. Woohoo!
A couple of weeks of too much food and not enough drink to get through. Hoping too that spurs can keep the renaissance going. An easy local derby against lowly arsenal this weekend should kick off the crowded christmas fixture list nicely.
Wonder what santa's got in his sacks for me this year.
Ahem.

The pounding rain continues its bleak fall...

...we decided just to write after all...

Christmas is coming and the goose is getting fat. The weather seems to have forgotten the time of year, however, but hope springs eternal. Spurs have finally won a match again though so maybe a rush and a push over the festive period will mean a heady mid-table perch. There's that hope thing rearing its head again, ha ha. This week i have been mostly dreaming about sleep. Do androids dream of electric sheep? Mmm...sheep.

There's a bear in my head wanting to be loved...

...eyes like marbles - all he needs is a hug...

My stupidity knows no bounds. Yesterday i forgot to bring my wallet to work with me. Not a problem as i had cash for lunch. What was more of a problem was that on the way home i needed petrol and decided to fill up, only realising when 66 litres had been filled that ... Guess what? ... My wallet was at home. Oh how i chuckled to myself. Not. Lack of sleep does terrible things to a person...

The rain falls hard on a humdrum town...

...this town will drag you down...

sex grader och regn.

I'm as honest as the day is long...

...the longer the daylight the less i do wrong...

It's getting colder. And snowing almost everywhere in Sweden apart from here seemingly. Bah. Hardly seems fair.
None of the home nations have made it to Euro 2008. Which is also boring.
Prince of Persia on the wii is my current poison of choice.
When oh when will Sensible World of Soccer ever see the light of day on XBox Live?
And will I be able to play it without an old-school Amiga-stylee joystick.
For answers to these and other equally uninteresting questions stay tuned sweet listeners...

All that we see or seem...

...is but a dream within a dream...

Behold! A macdonald's meatball. Ugh. The picture doesn't really do it justice as it was actually far harder and drier in reality. Nasty. The weather has assumed its usual autumnal form. Round about 6 degrees, dark and damp. Depressing. England's big game tonight. Will they finally make it to the finals after the weird qualifying campaign? Dexter is gripping me on tv right now. How on earth will it end? Wer!

And the sun drips down bedding heavy behind...

...the front of her dress all shadowy lined...

today i woke up to a smattering of powdery snow. Nice. Of course neither of the cars have winter wheels on yet but it's pretty much disappeared already. The temperature is hovering around 1 or 2 degrees though so some more might be forthcoming. Please. I still remember the proper snow we had one year in newport. Was it 82 or 3 or thereabouts? Schools were closed and no buses were running. The drifts 5 foot high in the farmer's fields. Wavell drive one huge toboggan run. Out all day and just home to thaw out and eat every so often. And drink hot squash. Coats for goalposts. Isn't it?

My head's swimming with poetry and prose...

...excuse me one moment whilst i powder my nose...

back from france. Stuck in the weird limbo weeks before christmas lands. I hope we get some proper wintry weather and not just rubbish rain this year. I hope also that tottenham win at least one more league match before the year ends. No losses yet under the new boss at least. It appears the bulgarian wonder boy is going to sulk until he gets released. He can leave when he wants if he doesn't start performing soon anyway. Must switch to winter wheels soon...with any luck i might have found a contact for cheaper summer rims too. blingbling!

You can pin and mount me...

...like a butterfly...

it's the morning after a day of hell on earth, heh heh. Spence was the only one to avoid the horrible stomach bug in the end. I succumbed during the morning and the rest of the day was just damage limitation for us. Grim. I had the brilliant idea at six in the evening to go out and buy some 7up which my body for some reason was telling me i needed. With an extreme effort of willpower i managed to get out and find the intermarche and buy some. Then i contrived to get lost in the french darkness driving home and ended up taking some toll road in the wrong direction. I was forced to dig out the gps while driving. And i had the whole cold feverish sweat thing going on. Ugh. When i eventually got back we all slept the whole night. Like, erm, the logs on the fire in the living room. Me on the sofa fully clothed. Nice. Today we all woke up feeling revived. Thankfully...

I dreamt about you last night...

...and i fell out of bed twice...

i'm blog crazy today. Jenkins the unstoppable blogging machine. I'm blogtastic. Blogmungous. King of bloggington. Erm, i'll stop now, eh...?

That umbrella don't work on a rainy day...

...don't ask me i already know...

so here we are in southern france. The first day started off cold but cleared up later on so outdoor drinking was the order of the day. Dr's orders you might say, chortle. Yesterday night a bug hit the clan so it's been a non-stop puke-a-thon. Horrid. So far only spence and i have escaped it, but he's not helping me with clearing up duties any. One day we'll look back on this and laugh...

We can go for a walk where it's quiet and dry...

...and talk about precious things...

Dear blog, it's been a week or more since my last contribution.

Autumn is upon us and the mornings are getting cooler.
Cars have been scraped a few times and leaves are almost done falling.
Tonight the moon is full.
Now it is time for a lovely cup of char.

So it's goodbye Mr Jol.
You will be missed for your hangdog expression and avuncular charm.
Give my best wishes to your gay lover Hans.

Tomorrow we're off to (hopefully) sunnier - or at least slightly warmer - climes.
Pictured above, a drop of the black stuff. ;O)

He was drunk as a lord in a tyre-marked hat...

...falling in the hall, on top of the cat...

Sunday Sunday here again. Standing outside in the miserable grey cold watching Joel play football.
With his new goalie gloves.
The new trees are planted at least and they look great, if I do say so myself. And I do.
Another riveting week at work beckons. I can hardly contain my excitement.
The jury's back in on the new Radiohead album. It's a corker!

Verily, an iMac is a thing of great beauty and a joy forever...

Thursday, October 11, 2007

You looked at me to say don't guess...

...I was only watching, yes I love you more undressed...

Ah, is there anything finer than a lovely cup of tea on a crisp, sunny autumnal morning? Probably.
The Radiohead album download link appeared as promised yesterday morning, but the jury is still out on it at the moment. Of course, it sounds great, but I'm still not sure there are any proper songs on it at this point. Hope it's a grower...
It'll soon be Friday. And in a few short weeks we're off to sunny France for a week. Woohoo!

Binatone, Spectrum, Pacman, Commodore...

...ZX81, Donkey Kong, f@*©ing high-score...

Yesterday was lovely, today is okay. The first frost of the year this morning - I had to scrape the car when leaving the house. Just hope we can get all the plants we need in before any cold spell comes. The drainage in the lower fields is still no good, so any new grass there will have to wait until the Spring. Bah.
Having pre-ordered the new Radiohead album (and elected to pay a fiver for it - suggesting I not pay at all seemed a bit cheeky - I'd love to see what people have chosen to pay for it) I guess I should get the download link for it tomorrow. Woohoo! Seems a long time ago I saw little Thom Yorke wandering down the street in Oxford with his combat pants on...

Let me get my hands on your mammary glands...

...and let me rest my head on the conjugal bed...

another weekend another kids birthday party. Phillip celebrated his 4th birthday at bushuset. A great time was had by all. Spencer ran around like a complete maniac (as usual, heh heh) and ran himself ragged. Both england and france won in the rugby. Amazingly. Today we will be mostly doing some gardening. The fun never starts around here, heh heh.
Isn't this balloon attractive? Full and firm.

P.S. Later on today I had the "pleasure" of watching the mighty Tottenham draw 2-2 with Liverpool at Anfield. Despite having gone 1-0 down in the first half a shock win seemed on the cards until they conceded another late goal deep into injury time. Bah. One day my prince will come...
