Halfway through the British Tour and a few days of relative calm in Robin 'ood country after having taken in, variously, Llanhennock, Cardiff, the Peak District and Alton Towers.
I'd never really seen much of the Peak District before but on a sunny summer's day it really is quite breathtaking. Lovely.
The weather has been a bit hit-or-miss but nothing too horrendous.
Everything has changed in my absence of course. I really like all the changes in Cardiff. A completely new shopping/pedestrianised area has sprung up since my last visit. The Hayes has been altered beyond recognition almost, but it looks good. The whole balance of the city has shifted, as always happens - areas that were once in the centre of things have now moved to the outskirts, with shops moving out to the new areas.
It's nice to travel around, remembering what I miss about my old fatherland. Visits to supermarkets are full of exciting new things to buy...
Now, if only I can stop eating/drinking continuously...
