Mohaha. Check this out! Worth $2.99 of anyone's money. C64 camera for the iPhone. Make any picture taken look as crap as it would have done on the magnificent old Commodore 64 home computer in glorious 16-colour. Ah, it makes my old heart sing, so it does, to be sure. Isn't it?
And the icing on the cake...while the photo is being magically transformed to '80's magnificence the screen displays the old 'fastloader' screen which used to be shown when a c64 game was being loaded (slowly) from cassette. Like so...

The flight of fancy had to end

I fall for this season every time...
Lordy. Three wins out of three at the beginning of the season. Two of those matches away games as well. What on earth? I'm not complaining?
Does my undying love for the little boy Lennon (above) make me any less of a man, I wonder? Ahem.
Today has been sunny for the most part. I've clipped the grass, looked at the drainage in the lower fields and so on. I've also come to the conclusion that I love my iPhone even more than I thought I did.
Note to self: Stop bidding on random gadgetry on eBay. Doh. Pssst...wanna buy a phone? Mind you, the camera on this phone is shite, innit?
Now I shall iron something. Got to look pretty in the workplace, haven't I?

Top of the line...
Okay, so the season is now two games old. And Spurs have six points and are top of the League baby! What a difference a year makes, mohaha.
The Hammers to come this weekend. A 5-1 drubbing away(!) handed out to Hull last night and a hattrick for the little Jefoe feller. Notice Anthony in the background there, wondering why he exchanged a Spurs shirt for that orange number, heh heh. Why is everything I'm writing coming out in exclamation marks!!!?
I'm having a nice week. Now, if I can just get through the last instalment of the Lord of the Rings movie trilogy without becoming a teary blob on the sofa...gets me every time.
This week I took delivery of a fancy new mobile phone which I foolishly won in a moment of madness (again) on eBay. It's still locked to Orange UK, however, so as soon as I get that sorted out I can have a proper play with it. And the phone. She said. I can do this all night. Ahem.
Dexter is soon upon us. Bring that on too. It's all good. All of the time.

And the droning engine throbs in time
Woohoo! First match of the season and already Spurs have more points than they did after the first nine (ten?) matches last time around. 2-1 at home against Liverpool. The goals were scored by the left back and one of the centre backs. And not one of the four (count 'em) strikers who figured at some point or another during the match. Go figure.
I watched IFK play this morning too at Gamla Ullevi. A little bit of a difference in tempo between the two games. Putting it mildly (kindly).
This week I have mostly been listening to "The Chauffeur" by Duran Duran.
I've missed the footy. Very much indeed. Bring it on. I'm ready...

The light inside can never die
The end of the summer. Well, maybe not if word on the street has it right and there's some nice weather on the way. The end of the summer holidays at any rate.
The last few months of the year have limped into view. I thought I'd forgotten how everything worked but I've still got it. Oh yeah.
Work ain't so bad...

I've never seen a woman kill a man with her thighs
Back to school. The holiday is finishing on a low note with the last few days' beautiful weather giving way to grey, humid, raininess. Blergh.
Back to the grindstone. Is it that time already? It'll be alright, though...I love my job.

I should have kissed you by the water
...finally some sun!
As I slouch here in my shorts a flight of swallows dives and swoops in the blue sky above me.
A few days left of my summer holidays and hopefully a little bright weather.
I'm also hoping that the sun will bleach away the spot of curry I dribbled on my new shirt as it hangs newly-washed on the clothesline. Surprised? It wasnt even a particularly nice curry. Not like the ones I used to have in Oxford or Leeds. Bah.
But it's alright. Everything seems much brighter on a day like today.

That's new, that is...
Well, not new exactly...as seen above Crouchie has been at Spurs before, a few years back. Him and Ledders are reunited. I like 'im actually, so hopefully he'll renew his "little and large" strikeforce with JeFoe. Is anyone gonna buy Bent(y) off us? I feel a little sorry for him actually - after all he was last season's top-scorer, but he seems to be surplus to 'arry's requirements. And what's happening to Bentley?
Is he gonna get another chance or just have another season of keeping the bench warm? I have my suspicions that it was him that did this and that's why he fell out of favour with the guv'nor.
Today has been a beautiful day - sunny and warm.
Jesus...finally
Of course, as I write this it's started to rain.
Back to school in a week. Let the sunshine in for a while before that, eh? I'm ready now.

It's not where you're from
I'm from the 'port (Casnewydd), so I've got it covered either way, heh heh.
This is a picture of me on a wheel for the second time this year. Not as spectacular as the London Eye this one, but it's quite nice all the same. The last day in Köpenhamn and it's been alternately sunny and overcast (like almost every other day this holiday seemingly).
Today I bought myself a pair of jeans. Unusual for me, I know, but why not live a little? I thought to myself.
A week of holidays remaining. Wonder if I can remember what I was doing at work all those weeks ago? I'm sure once I'm there again it'll all come flooding back to me. Mmmm...meetings.
No sign of any A-Team members without undercrackers today thankfully. I've been keeping my eyes open, mind.
I really like this place, some of the locals could be a bit friendlier, though. They're a little terse. And they speak funny. Not like where I'm from.
