it's the morning after a day of hell on earth, heh heh. Spence was the only one to avoid the horrible stomach bug in the end. I succumbed during the morning and the rest of the day was just damage limitation for us. Grim. I had the brilliant idea at six in the evening to go out and buy some 7up which my body for some reason was telling me i needed. With an extreme effort of willpower i managed to get out and find the intermarche and buy some. Then i contrived to get lost in the french darkness driving home and ended up taking some toll road in the wrong direction. I was forced to dig out the gps while driving. And i had the whole cold feverish sweat thing going on. Ugh. When i eventually got back we all slept the whole night. Like, erm, the logs on the fire in the living room. Me on the sofa fully clothed. Nice. Today we all woke up feeling revived. Thankfully...

You can pin and mount me...
...like a butterfly...

I dreamt about you last night...
That umbrella don't work on a rainy day...
...don't ask me i already know...

so here we are in southern france. The first day started off cold but cleared up later on so outdoor drinking was the order of the day. Dr's orders you might say, chortle. Yesterday night a bug hit the clan so it's been a non-stop puke-a-thon. Horrid. So far only spence and i have escaped it, but he's not helping me with clearing up duties any. One day we'll look back on this and laugh...

We can go for a walk where it's quiet and dry...
...and talk about precious things...

Dear blog, it's been a week or more since my last contribution.
Autumn is upon us and the mornings are getting cooler.
Cars have been scraped a few times and leaves are almost done falling.
Tonight the moon is full.
Now it is time for a lovely cup of char.
So it's goodbye Mr Jol.
You will be missed for your hangdog expression and avuncular charm.
Give my best wishes to your gay lover Hans.
Tomorrow we're off to (hopefully) sunnier - or at least slightly warmer - climes.
Pictured above, a drop of the black stuff. ;O)

He was drunk as a lord in a tyre-marked hat...
...falling in the hall, on top of the cat...

Sunday Sunday here again. Standing outside in the miserable grey cold watching Joel play football.
With his new goalie gloves.
The new trees are planted at least and they look great, if I do say so myself. And I do.
Another riveting week at work beckons. I can hardly contain my excitement.
The jury's back in on the new Radiohead album. It's a corker!
Verily, an iMac is a thing of great beauty and a joy forever...

You looked at me to say don't guess...
...I was only watching, yes I love you more undressed...

Ah, is there anything finer than a lovely cup of tea on a crisp, sunny autumnal morning? Probably.
The Radiohead album download link appeared as promised yesterday morning, but the jury is still out on it at the moment. Of course, it sounds great, but I'm still not sure there are any proper songs on it at this point. Hope it's a grower...
It'll soon be Friday. And in a few short weeks we're off to sunny France for a week. Woohoo!

Binatone, Spectrum, Pacman, Commodore...
...ZX81, Donkey Kong, f@*©ing high-score...

Yesterday was lovely, today is okay. The first frost of the year this morning - I had to scrape the car when leaving the house. Just hope we can get all the plants we need in before any cold spell comes. The drainage in the lower fields is still no good, so any new grass there will have to wait until the Spring. Bah.
Having pre-ordered the new Radiohead album (and elected to pay a fiver for it - suggesting I not pay at all seemed a bit cheeky - I'd love to see what people have chosen to pay for it) I guess I should get the download link for it tomorrow. Woohoo! Seems a long time ago I saw little Thom Yorke wandering down the street in Oxford with his combat pants on...

Let me get my hands on your mammary glands...
...and let me rest my head on the conjugal bed...

another weekend another kids birthday party. Phillip celebrated his 4th birthday at bushuset. A great time was had by all. Spencer ran around like a complete maniac (as usual, heh heh) and ran himself ragged. Both england and france won in the rugby. Amazingly. Today we will be mostly doing some gardening. The fun never starts around here, heh heh.
Isn't this balloon attractive? Full and firm.
P.S. Later on today I had the "pleasure" of watching the mighty Tottenham draw 2-2 with Liverpool at Anfield. Despite having gone 1-0 down in the first half a shock win seemed on the cards until they conceded another late goal deep into injury time. Bah. One day my prince will come...

Forget everything and remember...
...for everything a reason...

I'm still recovering from that bizarre football match on tv last night.
The mighty Spurs had somehow contrived to find themselves three goals down despite having taken the lead initially and having looked, for the most part, a thoroughly decent outfit. Of course it doesn't help that their goalkeeper doesn't appear to be able to catch the ball. Or ever block any shots at goal either, even flukily. Bah.
That said, a sterling second-half fight-back just as I was on the verge of slitting my wrists saw the match end 4 each. it also meant that I didn't go to bed as grumpy as I'd been half an hour previously.
Maybe it's also saved Mr Jol's job for a little while longer. I hope so, as he's assembled a really strong squad of players if only they could start to put some results together. Paul Robinson aside that is, who seems to have lost the plot altogether lately.
The tide will surely turn. Or maybe that's my famous optimism shining through, heh heh.
Time will tell...
Today has been lovely and sunny - and even pretty warm in the sun.
I've felt a bit off-colour, though. Poor me.
I'm hoping a pizza and some Saxondale (or maybe even Heroes) on tv tonight will cheer me up.
I've got the F.E.A.R.
